                       34th Annual General Meeting!

Our 34th AGM will be taking place at the Royal Overseas League (ROSL) in Edinburgh this year on the 23rd of October.
Planning is well-underway now and we are getting very excited to see lots of familiar faces. We do have limited spaces, so it’s advisable to book you place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
The AGM itself is free; we will also be hosting a delicious lunch at a cost of £30 for any members who would love the opportunity to meet and network with others in the Roofing industry.
We are all looking forward to having the opportunity to explore Edinburgh and its beautiful buildings, especially the magnificent Castle- which may I add, makes a wonderful view from the ROSL.

So, if you would like any more information or to book your tickets just get in touch and we will be only too happy to help!
We will also provide a compiled list of recommended hotels in the area, to make your trip to Edinburgh as hassle-free as possible!

                         Institute of Roofing

Professionals in any industry need to talk to like minded people. This way ideas can be sounded out and questions raised that will help in qualifying the future of that sector.

The Institute of Roofing is a professional body of leaders in the roofing industry that others refer to when needing experienced and proficient advice.

Learning roofing skills through university has its advantages, but it is very much the 'old fashioned’ way of thinking. Today’s clients are demanding proof of competence and formal recognition as a matter of course.

The reason for this is the pace of change within the industry and the costly implications of a gap in skills. Materials, manufacturing processes and installation techniques are constantly changing. Standards are becoming more regulated, contract legislation and liability clauses more stringent and building regulations more complex.
